Recombinant SCF (Kit Ligand) is a disulfide-linked monomer protein consisting of 165 amino acid residues, and due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 23 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE. Optimized DNA sequence encoding murine SCF mature chain was expressed in E. coli.
